What does the "As of Date" represent?
Published: 03/08/2015
In step 4: Initiate, you need to select "As of Date", Below is what it represents:
Answer:
The "
As of Date
" is the period for which the auditor requires confirmation. This does not represent the date the confirmation was initiated, but rather the year-end date the confirmation has been requested for.
The "
As of Date
" supplied by the auditor when initiating confirmations is the date the responder will use when providing the desired client information back to the auditor.
An auditor can also request confirmations for an interim period i.e. the confirmation does not need to be a full financial year.
