Executive Summary

This hotfix contains a bug fix where the incorrect Group figures pulled through from the Cash flow Worksheet (CFWKS) to the Cash flow Statement in the financials. Running the Hotfix and following the Install Instructions below will not cause client data to be lost in the CFWKS.

 

Install Instructions:

  1. Download the hotfix
  2. Close all instances of Caseware and Caseview
  3. Go to the Caseware directory and then to the Document Library folder, i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\CaseWare\Document Library 
    • Delete the IFRS and SME folder completely. Please note, should you only have either one, just delete that one from the folder.
  4. Run the Hotfix
  5. Open the client file where the issue is happening on.
    1. Go to Document 01.70 Cash flow worksheet
    2. In the Document, go to Options | Get new version of controls
    3. The issue will now be fixed on the specific client file
  6. The issue will also be fixed on any new files created and any new file updates that are run subsequent to the hotfix being installed

  1. Caseware Working Papers 2024 should be installed
  2. The IFRS 2024.02.01 and/or SME Eng 2024.01.01 should be installed
  1. Click on the download button in order for the download the begin
  2. Then follow the Install instructions in the previous segment.

Who is the firm champion?

The "Firm's Champion" is the staff member responsible for rolling out the template to the users at the firm.
 

I do have a Caseware Africa Success Community login

If you are a firm champion, you will have access to your firm's unique download package by accessing the My Software page and clicking on the download packager icon (top right).
 

I do have a Caseware Africa Success Community login but cannot see the My Software option

You may request the file to be provided to you by your firm champion

Alternatively to obtain this access your firm champion will need to update your user permissions on the Content Management page once they have logged in. This page is available when selecting the My Team's Information option in the drop down menu. When clicking on the Manage button next the user's name, ensure that the Download Software checkbox is ticked. This will allow the user access to the My Software page.
 

I don't have a Caseware Africa Success Community login

If you are responsible for managing updates and don't have a login for the Caseware Africa Success Community, click on the Login button in the top right and then Register Now.
