How do I define the different auditor skills or competencies that can be assigned to potential audit engagements as planned for in the AUDIT module?
Instructions:
The Audit Plans page under the SETUP module allows users to define the different skills and competencies that can be assigned to audit engagements within the audit plan, developed in the AUDIT module of the IA Governance app. A pre-defined list is available for customisation, as well as the ability to add additional skills or competencies. All skills within SETUP | Audit plans will appear in the AUDIT module when skills needs to be assigned to audit engagements.
Objective
The objective of SETUP | Audit plans is to identify the skills that will be allocated to the various audit engagements as planned. The list is intended to align with the competency requirements of the IAF necessary to achieve the audit plans.
Page position
SETUP | Audit plans can be found on the sidebar within the SETUP module of the IA Governance app.

Page content
The Audit plans section within the SETUP module allows you to identify and define the skills and competencies of the internal audit function that will be assigned to different internal audit engagement projects selected for audit planning purposes within the AUDIT module.

Skills
The list of skills within this section is fully customisable and can be adjusted to fit in with the skills and competencies in use by your internal audit function. Predefined skills can be renamed, and additional skills can be added by typing the skill into the text box at the top of the page. Clicking the Add button will add the skill to the list.

Note: Whenever a predefined item is renamed, a revert button appears next to it, allowing you to restore the original predefined term at any time. Only added skills will have the option to delete, with the delete button that appears next to the added skill.
Page outcomes
Defining and capturing all of the skills allows users to add the required skills to the internal audit engagements that are selected to form part of the operational audit plan with the AUDIT module. Users will be able to judge whether sufficient skills are available for the engagement or whether additional skills will need to be assigned or sourced.
