Who Can Set File Retention on Cloud Working Papers?
Only users with an Owner role have the authorization to set file retention policies.
When to Set File Retention?
File retention should be configured whenever there’s a need for Caseware Cloud to handle automatic deletion of specific files.
Additional Information
Please note: files with SmartSync child copies are excluded from being affected from automatic deletion.
How do i set retention on Cloud Working Papers?

From the Cloud menu, select Files.

Select the appropriate entity from the entity drop-down.

Select the file you want to set the retention for using the check box.

Select More Actions | Set Retention.

Select the retention start date, how long to retain the file and any comments.

Select OK to confirm. The file details pane is updated with the retention status information.

When the retention time has lapsed, the file will be automatically deleted and in the recycle bin.

An email notification will be sent to the Admin user that has subscribed to the deleted file to confirm successful deletion.
