Connector | How do I enable COM Add-Ins for Caseware Connector?

My Caseware Connector COM Add-Ins are disabled and I cannot re-enable them. Word and Excel no longer display the Connector options, how do I resolve this?

Answer:

This usually occurs when Connector (not Connector UDF) is disabled by Excel or Word due to Connector becoming unresponsive.

Re-enabling COM Add-Ins

1. In Excel or Word, click File | Options | Add-Ins.
2. Click the Manage drop down and select Disabled Items.

3. Click Go. The Disabled Items dialog will appear.
4. If Caseware Connector is listed, select it and click Enable | Close.

5. Click the Manage drop down and select COM Add-Ins.

6. Click Go. The COM Add-Ins dialog will appear.
7. Select Caseware Connector and click OK.
