I receive the following error massage (Error: One or more database files are missing from client file) when converting or opening a Caseware Working Papers file, how do I resolve this?

  Answer:

This may have been caused by the renaming of the .ac files in the client folder. 

  • Ensure that the .ac files are renamed to what the other database files are named.
 
Best practice for renaming a Caseware Working Papers file is File | Rename
There will be an option to generate a new identified for the newly named file, if you do tick this option the file's databases will be duplicated under the old and new name, thus the recommendation is not to tick this option.
