How to open a SmartSync File with Standard Caseware?

Steps to follow:

  1. Ensure you have a copy of the file in case anything happens during the conversion process.
  2. Ensure the ‘Show hidden files an folders’ option is ticked in Windows Explorer, Folder and Search Options.

  1. Proceed to the SmartSync client folder which you woiuld like to convert.
  2. In the client folder is an ’_Sync’ sub folder. Delete this folder in order to remove the sync information related to that file.
  3. Once the folder is deleted, you will now be able to open the file with the Standard version of Caseware Working Papers.
