How do I quickly copy Mapping Accounts in Schedules?

  Answer:

Follow these simple steps to copy mapping accounts in a standard schedule:

  1. In the Financial Statements on a schedule, ensure rows are inserted with the property 'Link to Map'.
  2. Instead of clicking on the drop down and searching for the mapping account, switch to Caseware (Alt+Tab).
  3. In Caseware go to Account | Assign Mapping Numbers.
  • Find the Account with the total you would like to pull through to the schedule.
  • Right-click on the Mapping account and select Properties.
  • Copy (CTRL+C) the Mapping Number. (See illustration below)
