Can’t register templates via Firm settings?


  Answer:

If you are receiving this error when trying to register a template via the firm settings document 

 

 

You can open a file with an AFS version of 2024.XX.XX and register via the firm settings document in the 2024 file.  

  1. Open a 2024 file 

    1. If you open a Working paper file that is on Caseware 2024 it will ask you to convert to Caseware 2025. This will change the Caseware version to 2025 the AFS version will stay on 2024.  

  1. Open the firm settings document 

  1. Go to the enable special features tab 

  1. Click the “Activate” button next to other  

  1. Type in your template code 

 

You should see a message like the below
