What is being deprecated?

The ‘’Replace’’ Working Papers file option on Caseware Cloud is being replaced effective 31 July 2024. This feature helps users replace a Working Papers file in case the parent file on Cloud has issues and needs to be replaced by a different file.

Why is the feature being deprecated?

We are improving availability and scalability of our SmartSync Server architecture, and this feature had extremely low usage. This feature would hold up the availability and scalability upgrades. Further to this; there is a more commonly used alternative feature which does the same thing. To speed up the development and provide the most streamlined user experience we decided to deprecate this feature.

What’s the alternative to Replace Working Paper File?

Once this feature is deprecated, customers can still replace a Working Paper file, albeit using a different set of steps documented below:

In Caseware Cloud, locate the Working Papers file that you would like to replace and delete it
Upload the correct Working Papers file from your local machine. This will replace the file.
